This policy explains what SNKRTRKR (“the app”, “we”, “us”) does with your information. It applies to the SNKRTRKR app on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and to this website.

Your data stays on your device

Everything SNKRTRKR knows about you lives on your device. The styles you watch, your size preferences, and your personal collection (including any photos you add) are stored locally. We don't have a server holding your account, because there is no account to begin with.

iCloud sync

So your data follows you between your iPhone, iPad and Mac, SNKRTRKR syncs it through your own iCloud account using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store and iCloud Documents. That data is handled by Apple under your iCloud settings and is never sent to us. You can turn iCloud off for SNKRTRKR at any time in your device settings.

What we don't collect

• No name, email, or account sign-up.
• No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad trackers.
• No selling or sharing of your data full stop.
• No access to your photo library beyond photos you choose to add.

Price data and our API

To show you current prices, the app fetches sneaker data from our API, which gathers publicly listed prices from Australian retailers. For background price-drop checks, the app sends the list of style codes you're watching so the server can return just those. That request isn't tied to your identity—we don't attach a name, account, or persistent profile to it.

Notifications

Price-drop alerts are local notifications. Your device checks your watched styles in the background and raises the alert itself. We don't run a push server that knows what you watch.

The camera scanner

The collection scanner uses your camera to read printed style codes (on a tag or receipt) entirely on-device. Nothing from the camera is recorded, uploaded, or sent anywhere—it's only used to find a code and match it against the catalogue.

Purchases

The one-time Pro purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

This website

This site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It gives us aggregate visitor counts without cookies and without collecting personal data. We don't use it to identify you.

Children

SNKRTRKR isn't directed at children under 13, and since we don't collect personal information, we don't knowingly gather data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
